Two days of work dedicated to creating Japanese-style bowls: the chawan, traditional teacup, and the yunomi, the teacup of everyday use. The workshop will offer participants the opportunity to explore the technique of Kurinuki, a traditional Japanese method of hollowing out and shaping a solid block of clay to derive its shape. This approach, based on direct and spontaneous gesture, enhances the material in its authenticity and celebrates the beauty of imperfection.
The course will be taught in English.
