All Tastes +1

The world of training is so vast that sometimes we run the risk of getting lost; in the 'era in which we live, it is increasingly important to acquire specialized skills, and training, especially craft training, is increasingly in demand. The school's courses are experiential and are all in-person, allowing theoretical and practical skills to be learned directly from teachers with up to 40 years of experience. If we wanted to be specific, our courses are also an excellent opportunity for socialization among students and certainly encourage entry and contact with other work realities. The direct interaction between students and teachers ensures that learning is clear and efficient, limiting the doubts and perplexities that may arise during the explanation of various topics. Certainly participating in a classroom course where attendance is necessary and mandatory is much more challenging than an online course, but the satisfaction of creating something with one's own hands is certainly greater.

The workshops are organized to accommodate groups of up to 13 students with individual or group workstations by providing all the professional equipment needed for the entire production cycle.

But let's turn now to the presentation of our courses because there are some for "ALL TASTES +1"! Certainly for those who are just starting out an introductory course is what they need! Introductory courses are specifically for those who want to get in touch with basic techniques and approach the world of ceramics. The feeling of fresh clay on the hands and the satisfaction of seeing the colors appearing on the decorated plates give a unique experience and are definitely the elements that excite those who are at the beginning of the training path the most. Thus, introductory courses are aimed at those who want to experiment with basic techniques, as well as those who want to learn about other techniques that do not require extensive training.

ALL OURSOURS COURSES

Usually introductory courses are short in duration and take place mainly on weekends. Once the first steps have been taken, one has to start walking; and so here are the intensive courses that provide basic knowledge of the entire craft production cycle, from the lathe to forming, through decoration and coatings. These courses are aimed at those who want to delve into some or all aspects of production, among them we also find insights into the most contemporary and innovative technologies on the market such as 3D Printing.

Most intensive courses obviously require a different amount of hours than introductory courses; in fact, the in-depth courses become more detailed and aimed at preparing the student for a deeper level of knowledge. Finally, advanced courses or workshops are offered that are aimed at those who are already of the trade in defined fields. At the end of each course, a certificate of attendance is issued attesting to participation in the course.

ASEV courses

A special mention goes to the Regional Qualification course proposed in collaboration with the Agency for the Development of Empolese Valdelsa (ASEV); the duration is eight months for a total of 900 hours of which 500 in the classroom and laboratory inside the school and 400 of internship in one of the companies in the territory that have an agreement. The course allows the 'student to achieve a complete knowledge of the production phases of work deepening at the technical and technological level every aspect of the realization of the artifact.

The 400 hours in internship allow the 'student to face the world of work and learn about the various types of production and organization of a company or workshop. At the end of the course, the regional certification of "Craftsman in Ceramics" is issued to students who have passed the final exam.

Certainly, the strength of our courses lies not only in the organization and structure of the school, but also in the teachers who, in addition to having a great deal of experience in the production sector, participate annually in refresher and training courses in order to continue to offer a high level of service in both quality and training.
